Nursing put me beside people during some of the most vulnerable and important moments of their lives. Working in critical care and emergency care taught me that great care is more than clinical skill, it's attention, judgment, safety, and making people feel genuinely cared for.

Founder’s Perspective
What I wanted to bring outside the hospital wasn't the hospital itself. It was the attention to detail, clinical judgment, and respect for the person receiving care that nursing taught me. Aura lets me bring that approach into a completely different setting, your home, office, or hotel. There's no next treatment bay waiting. Your nurse can focus on your visit, your treatment, and your experience.
Every client is clinically evaluated before treatment, and each infusion and dose is reviewed for appropriateness before anything is administered. At Aura, that is ordinary practice, on every visit.
I built Aura here on the Peninsula because this is my community. I wanted to create the kind of service I would feel comfortable recommending to my own family: professional, thoughtful, transparent, and personal.

James O. Hill II, DO — Medical Director
Dr. James O. Hill II is a board-certified emergency physician with extensive experience in emergency medicine, medical leadership, and patient care. A U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Hill served in several clinical and leadership roles, including as an emergency physician with the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, flight surgeon, and Director of the Emergency Department at the 121st Combat Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. His post-military career has included emergency medicine, hyperbaric wound care, addiction medicine, and medical directorship. Dr. Hill brings decades of clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to his role as Medical Director.
That experience helps inform the clinical framework behind Aura's menu and treatment protocols. Before treatment, each client also completes a medical evaluation with a licensed medical provider, who reviews their health history, selected therapy, and dosing for clinical appropriateness.
That evaluation happens before every infusion, on every visit.
